EX -US President Trump Celebrates Amid Twitter Ban in Nigeria
Former US president has congratulated Nigeria`s President Mohammadu Buhari for his strong stand in suspending social media Twitter in his Country.

According to Trump in his statement on Tuesday, June 8th he argued that more countries should also follow the same suit in banning Twitter and Facebook for not allowing free and open speech.

Earlier this year in January 2021, Twitter and Facebook banned former US President Donald from accessing his two social media platforms. This was after the two platforms claimed that Trump used the platforms to mobilize his followers to attack the US Capitol amid November 2020 presidential election after his loss.
However, Nigeria`s Federal Government indefinitely suspended Twitter's operations in the country on Friday, June 4th evening after manipulation allegations.
According to the statement that was posted on the ministry's official Twitter handle on Friday evening, it accused the American social media application company of allowing its platform to be used "for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate existence."
