Kakamega Homeboyz defeated Posta Rangers 3-1 to win two matches in a row at the Utalii grounds on Friday afternoon.

Goals from Christopher Mbehelo and David Odhiambo, who scored a brace gave Homeboyz an important win lifting them to position seven in the log with 26 points after 18 matches.

The visiting team got their first goal in the 17th minute through a penalty by Mbehelo when he was fouled in the box.

Homeboyz extended their lead six minutes later when they got a free kick after a foul outside the danger zone. Odhiambo was given the assignment and he never dissapointed finding the net and giving his team a second goal and his first goal of the match in a fantastic curler over Rangers wall.

In the 37th minute, Rangers scored their only goal when Midfielder Benard Ondiek pulled a bicycle shot in the area into the net.

Just a minute before half time, Homeboyz answered with a clinical strike from Odhiambo who received an assist from Francis Omondi after a great effort.

In the match played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, visitors Bandari registered a second draw against Western Stima when it ended in a 1-1 draw.

Both teams scored their goals in the second half after each side failing to find the net when the match went to a break.

Stima was the first to score in the 54 minute when Ken Odhiambo perfectly drove the ball home. Bandari’s forward Omaru Kasumba equalised for the Mombasa based club in the 65th minute to help his team avoid a humiliation after a winless streak.

At Narok Stadium, Ulinzi Stars won its second match narrowly against Nzoia Sugar when the clash ended 1-0.

The action went to a break when the score was still goalless, however in the 55th minute, striker Clinton Omondi scored the only goal and a winner for his team.

The win lifted Ulinzi to position 8 on the table while Nzoia were left at 14th place after 18 games same as their rival.
