Mbadi To Ichungwa: “Stop Whipping Emotions, Playing Saint”
Mbadi and Ichungwa during the last night interview.

In a heated interview last night at a local television channel, Mbadi told off the Kikuyu parliamentarian of what he termed as playing saint in the failures of the Jubilee government.

The Minority leader at the National Assembly has accused Ichungwa of propagating a government that he has served in.

Ichungwa who is an ally of the Deputy President William Ruto had accused the government of misappropriating tax payer’s money on projects that had not been approved by parliament.

“I have no shame to say on national TV that to a large extent, Parliament has failed. They (MPs) have refused to use their brains,” Ichungwa stated.

Responding to Ichungwa’s claims, Mbadi has told off  Ichungwa  and all politicians allied to the deputy president William Ruto that they are the cause of Kenya’s economic problems that have been witnessed during Uhuru’s first tenure.

Mbadi also went on to state that the Ruto allied MPs contributed to government borrowing during Uhuru’s first five years in office.

Stop whipping emotions. You know what Jubilee did to this country. You have even been trying to distort the figures for money borrowed. In fact, this time, Kenyans expected difficulty as we faced the pandemic, unlike between 2013 and 2017.” Said Mbadi.

“You were borrowing money all over the place and now that we are where we are, you want to claim high moral ground that since you are now not in government, you are speaking for the people of Kenya,” Mbadi added.

Mbadi further went on to accuse the DP allied MPs of passing legislation that were hurting Kenyans saying that the opposition side would oppose the legislations but were suppressed by the DP allies’ numbers.

I agree, opposition is nice. Play that role, it is sweet and you can say any lie and get away with it. Also, don’t run away from responsibility,”

Mbadi recently stepped down from the Homabay Gubernatorial position in favor of the current Homabay County Women Representative Gladys Wanga.

The MP also told Ichungwa that he emulates the steps of his boss William Ruto who Mbadi accused of lauding and yet criticizing government projects at the same time.

I watched Ruto addressing the nation stating that the government reduced pending bills. He spoke so well. Tomorrow, he will be telling us how the government is useless, and we cannot balance fuel prices,” Said Mbadi.
