Nairobi Tuk Tuk Rider Found Dead in a Strange Incident

According to police and the victim's family, the victim went missing on Sunday, but his body was discovered hanging in the tuk-tuk on Monday.

Kasarani police chief Peter Mwazo believes the victim was murdered elsewhere and his body was driven to the scene and hanged in his tuk-tuk.

“There was no sign of struggle at the scene and we suspect this was a murder committed elsewhere and the body ferried to the scene to show he committed suicide,” Mwazo stated.

He went on to say that no arrests had been made and that the hunt for the killers was still ongoing. However, the motive for the murder is unknown.

Crime incidence in the country has recently been on the rise with people falling victims in these situations.

Late last month, a man was stabbed and killed during a robbery near Nairobi's Kasarani stadium.

The victim, identified as John Waweru, was with a friend when they were approached by a gang armed with knives.

One of the victims was able to flee to safety, leaving Waweru in the hands of the gang while they struggled.

Before robbing him of his cash and phone, the thugs stabbed him in the chest and stomach.

According to police, the gang fled toward Lucky Summer shortly after the robbery.

In the hospital, the victim was pronounced dead.
