Magoha stated that all land belongs to the government while breaking ground for Competency-based Curriculum (CBC) classrooms at Pumwani Boys.

He went on to say that even if the government was interested in purchasing the land of a public school for investment purposes, the relevant stakeholders should let it go.

"All land belongs to the government. The government owns everything, including the land I am standing on," Magoha stated.

He clarified that if he had been Vice-Chancellor of Kenyatta University Paul Wainaina, he would have resigned.

"If I don't like what you are telling me to do, the door is wide open, I will use the legs that God gave me and I will leave," Magoha added.

This follows reports that Wainaina resigned on Tuesday.

However, there is no clarification or documentation from the institution indicating that Wainaina resigned.

Magoha's comments come after Kenya University council members turned down a request to hand over the institution's title deeds.

The title deeds will not be submitted to Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, according to a statement issued by the council and signed by council chair Migot Adhola.

"We wish to inform you most respectfully, that we will be unable to accede to the request to the title deeds," read the statement.

According to Kinyua's letters, 30 acres will be donated to the WHO emergency hub, while others will be given to squatters.

Another ten acres will be donated to Africa's Disease Control Centers.

Kinyua stated that 180 acres will be donated to the nearby Kenyatta University Teaching, Research, and Referral Hospital, which already sits on 100 acres donated by the university ten years ago.
