Moses Kuria To Join DP Ruto's Kenya Kwanza Alliance

Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party leader Moses Kuria has announced that he is in talks to join the Deputy President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza alliance ahead of the August presidential election showdown.

Kuria, taking to social media on Friday, announced that CCK is among 21 parties that are presently engaging the Kenya Kwanza brigade with a view of forming a major coalition.

“This is to inform Kenyans that Chama Cha Kazi Party and 21 other political parties are in early talks with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance that will lead to a very broad-based grand coalition that will deliver the nation to peace and prosperity. Details to follow,” wrote the MP.

This comes after the legislator, who recently declared his Kiambu gubernatorial bid, dismissed claims of working with the Raila Odinga-led Azimio la Umoja coalition.

The vocal MP, speaking on Tuesday during the burial of former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s mother, Monica Njeri Waititu.

'The Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party leader maintained that under no circumstance would he even think about joining the impending Azimio la Umoja grand coalition.

According to Kuria, his differences with the Azimio team are only ideological and not personal, hence should not be mistaken for enmity with anyone.

“Mimi niko upande wa Mungu...hiyo ndio upande haiwezi niangusha…hakuna siku mimi utanipata kwa Azimio. Ata nikikufa msinipeleke Azimio…Niko kwa Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) sina ubaya na mtu,” he said.
