THE TIK TOK BOSS LEAVING

ByteDance CEO Zhang Yiming will step down from his role as the TikTok CEO to focus on long-term strategy.

The latest Chinese chief executive resignation as part of its government has raised pressure on the company. Therefore, Mr. Zhang appointed co-founder Liang-Rubo as his successor and claimed that he was stepping aside to focus on long-term strategy.

Concerns about the Chinese company's future in the U.S have been fading as geopolitical tension eases, only for ByteDance to face pressure at home.

The resignation of the 38-years old in March,  gave in ByteDance an executive shake-up in April when choosing who was to be named the new CEO for Tick Tok.

Besides the growth of tik-tok and the struggle of It to thrive in China, Tik Tok's global success has placed It and ByteDance under scrutiny in the west. This is The Fear by the U.S government whether they could access the personal data of American users.

The Triump administration issued an executive that Would ban the app unless it gets an American buyer; Oracle Corp and Walmart Inc were in a group talking to buy Tik Tok. U.S operations which Mr. Yiming fiercely resisted. The Biden administration again in February bring in their plans to require the sales.
