Uganda Cup 2021: BUL outshine Proline in the quarter final first leg.

BUL football club thrashed Proline 2-0 in the quarter final first leg match that was played at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Friday.

Striker Abdulmalick Tabu and defender Joseph Ssemujju scored for the Jinja based club in the first half period of the match.

BUL got their first goal in the sixth minute when Tabu found the net after a perfect effort. Ssemujju added the second two minutes later to help his team claim an early win.

Just after the second half whistle, BUL’s coach Alex Isabirye made a change by bringing in Musa Esenu for Tabu.

In the 52nd minute, Ssemujju missed a perfect opportunity to give his team a third goal when his strike hit the woodwork.

Isabirye made another change in the 67th minute when he brought two players to the field. Owen Mukisa and Thomas Kabale replaced Simon Peter Oketch and Deogracious Ojok respectively.

In the last quarter of the game, defender Kenneth Ssemakula was injured and Godfrey Akol took his position. At the 85th minute, Robert Mukongotya came in for Ssemujju.

Proline failed to score a single goal at stoppage time and gave BUL a numerical goal advantage in the second leg of the fixture. The reverse fixture will be played on Monday, 31 May 2021 at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja City.
