Wanjigi: Present Leadership Cannot Ensure Economic Prosperity.

The ODM (Orange Democratic Party) presidential aspirant urges Kenyans to change the current leadership in national politics. He claims that the replacement of the National Guard is essential as the current leaders have been in power for too long and yet have failed to solve the country's economic problems.

Speaking at St Peter's ACK Church in Nyeri town, he alludes that current leadership is like the biblical Goliath and would only be brought down by David, David representing the common 'mwananchi'. He states that party leaders such as Musalia Mudavadi of ANC, ODM's Raila Odinga, and Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper party are old guards.

On Friday, 27 August 2021 the businessman availed his credentials to the ODM party officially declaring his bid for the presidency.
