Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu Condemns attacks on Passaris' campaign trail.
Nairobi city county Governor Ann Kananu has condemned attacks on Nairobi women representative, Esther Passaris campaign trail.
In a tweet, Kananu has said that the incidence should not be tolerated in a civilised society.
"What happened to Esther Passaris and her convoy cannot, should not, and ought not to happen in a civilized country like ours. Thuggerism and intimidation of political figures should be condemned in the strongest terms possible," Kananu tweete
Passaris on Monday claimed that her convoy was attacked while on a campaign trail in Westlands Constituency near Deepsea slums, Nairobi county.
she further called upon the office of the Interior Ministry and the National Police service to intervene.
"Our convoy is under attack. We are in Westlands near Deepsea. Help. The thugs have taken our truck keys and are demanding money to give back our keys," Passaris took on twitter.
Before the attack, Passaris's convoy had successfully mobilised residents in Parklands Ward, Westlands Constituency.

Passaris is seeking to defend her seat as the Nairobi Women representative under the ODM ticket which is one of the parties under the Azimio la Umoja Movement.
Kananu, the current Governor is also supporting the Azimio la Umoja coalition but has not yet officially declared if she will be defending the position in the coming general elctions.
